Core Religious Philosophy
Masjid Quba | Established 1938
Since our founding in 1938, Masjid Quba has been anchored in the universal creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama‘ah, embracing the foundational beliefs that unite the global Muslim community. We follow the Maliki madhhab—the school of Imām Mālik ibn Anas, Imam of Madinah—as our primary guide in fiqh, while honoring the legitimacy of the other three Sunni schools of law.
We affirm the validity of diverse creedal expressions within the broad framework of Ahl al-Sunnah, cultivating an environment of mutual respect, tolerance, and intrafaith unity. Our worship and conduct are dedicated to sincere servitude to Allah—purifying the heart inwardly and manifesting excellence outwardly.
As American Muslims, we pledge full allegiance to the Constitution and laws of the United States, striving to be exemplary citizens who promote the common good for all people regardless of race, religion, or nationality. Through interfaith collaboration and social responsibility, we build bridges of understanding and serve humanity with compassion.
At Masjid Quba, faith is lived through knowledge, mercy, and active goodness.
“You are the best nation produced for mankind…” (Qur’ān 3:110)
